Dexter, Utter Drama Fabulosity July 27, 2009

In case you weren’t aware, Dexter is one of the most compelling dramas to exist on TV in a very long time.  Not only does Michael C. Hall give homicidal rage the perfect warm-and-fuzzy vibe, he’s like a vigilante’s wet dream.  At this week’s Comic Con, some new footage for Season 4 premiered.  If you haven’t seen it, I can’t stress enough what an amazing show it is.  It’s worth the astronomical $20 per month that Showtime charges.  If you don’t want to spring for that, go rent a season through Netflix, watch it illegally online — I don’t care how you see it, just do!

Watch a preview reel for Dexter Season 4 HERE.  Season premiere: September 27.  After last season’s fabulous casting of  Jimmy Smits I thought they would have difficulty topping themselves, but John Lithgow promises to be an amazing addition as the most successful serial killer ever.  Dexter makes murder look so very appealing; almost like a good deed.

RH OC Adds 6th Bimbo to Roster July 15, 2009

So not only are Jeana, Vicki, Tamra, Lynne, and Gretchen back for a fifth season of the Real Housewives of Orange County, but they’re added another blonde bimbette to their sorority.  This one’s name is Alexis Bellino.  She’s a gorgeous mom of 3 with an entrepeneur husband.  I hope for her sake that she gets along better with Tamra and Vicki than Gretchen and Lynne did last season.  They didn’t fare so well…

Never Too Early for Primetime News! June 29, 2009

Though my heart belongs to reality on Bravo, ABC gets my vote for scripted television programs.  And I’ve now had the opportunity to see the fall previews that we have to look forward to in a few short months.  I’ve already revealed that Drea de Matteo will be the “new” Edie Britt on Desperate Housewives, but are you wondering what else we have in store?  Well, lucky for all the ladies out there, Brothers & Sisters has cast DWTS and SATC hunk Gilles Marini as a guest starring love interest for Sarah.  Now, I don’t know for certain what date B&S returns but I do know that Desperate Housewives is back on screen September 27th. Click HERE to see ABC’s fall lineup if you want to see what’s in store for the rest of their devoted fan club.  I plan on trying out Cougar Town and Eastwick, personally!

Sopranos Whore the New Desperate Whore?

Drea de Matteo, best known for her role on The Sopranos as Christopher Moltisanti’s big-haired fiancee Adriana la Cerva, has been cast as the newest vixen to grace the streets of Wisteria Lane.

Adriana was shot in the woods after tattling to the Feebies in season 6, so we can only hope for her sake that if she does experience an exit from Desperate Housewives, it’s far more pleasant than that one!
