Let’s Talk Summer Blockbusters April 3, 2009

So far I’m reading that my alltime favorite set of movies, the Christopher Nolan-directed Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and an unnamed third, is being delayed due to another project he’s working on, Inception.  The same thing happened between BB and TDK, that project being The Prestige, which also starred Christian Bale.  Nolan obviously has his favorite actors, as he just cast Cillian Murphy (BB’s Scarecrow) in Inception.  Other cast members for that film include Marion Cotillard, who will also play opposite Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in this summer’s Public Enemies.  Interestingly enough, it has been heavily reported that Johnny Depp will also play Riddler in the 3rd Batman installment.  Sometimes casting is simply a revolving group of actors.
