Bethenny & Season 3, More Housewives Dish August 4, 2009

Bethenny Frankel is someone that I used to be able to handle but I don’t love her anymore.  The biggest reason why is all the blogging she’s done about the other casts/seasons — I’ve tried reading a couple but she comes off as judgmental, harsh, and most of all, bitter.  Some of those things are what caused audiences to love her in the first place, but I’m the first to say that sometimes too much of a good thing is just that: too much.  My hubs was trying to tell me the other day that he read some article that her new pseudo-boyfriend is some type of fraud and isn’t actually an investor or in real estate or whatever it is that this guy supposedly does.  I don’t care enough to Google him, and that’s saying something because 20 minutes ago I tried to Google a Colorado Wildlife commercial to figure out what type of weird bird was featured in it. 

 

RH OC Adds 6th Bimbo to Roster July 15, 2009

So not only are Jeana, Vicki, Tamra, Lynne, and Gretchen back for a fifth season of the Real Housewives of Orange County, but they’re added another blonde bimbette to their sorority.  This one’s name is Alexis Bellino.  She’s a gorgeous mom of 3 with an entrepeneur husband.  I hope for her sake that she gets along better with Tamra and Vicki than Gretchen and Lynne did last season.  They didn’t fare so well…

Real Housewives Contract Negotations July 8, 2009

Update on Real Housewives of New York is that Kelly Bensimon will return and she was actually the first to sign her contract.  She apparently knows that the city of NY as a whole hates her guts and wants to change her image by being on the show. 

 

The only two women holding out are Ramona and Jill, both for more money.  They see themselves as the “stars” of NYC.  I agree on one count.  I’ve had too much of buggy-eyed Ramona already and think she’s generally an atrocious human.  She’s catty, nasty, negative, and so full of herself it’s unbelievable.  Jill, on the other hand, IS the star of the show and I wouldn’t want to watch it without her on it.  I also could handle no more Bethenny.  After all the malicious things she said about the other casts, specifically NJ while blogging about it, I’m so over her.  She’s another one that clearly thinks too highly of herself. 

 

The real big news here is that because Jill and Ramona refuse to sign, Bravo has put out a casting call for 2 new women to take their place.  I assume they’re bluffing, but who really knows?  They should get viewer opinion before asking these women back rather than looking at ratings alone.  There’s no reason Kelly should have been asked back except that they did it for the drama she creates.  Well, guess what, Bravo?  You’re making a mockery of your franchise.  I think you need the staple cast members who are a calming influence, like Deshawn Snow was in Atlanta (she got axed after one season because they told her she was too boring).  And if I were you, I’d completely re-cast for Orange County.  I’ve had enough of them too.

New Bravo Premiere Dates! June 16, 2009

Outside of those shit bucket shows Miami Social and NYC Prep (which I do not intend to watch in case you can’t tell) two of my absolute favey faves are returning veeeery soon!

Look out for The Real Housewives of Atlanta to possibly pop up July 30th (not confirmed by Bravo just yet but the timing coincides with the end of The Fashion Show).

Also, Flipping Out should be back on August 17th, when Kathy Griffin’s show wraps up — also happens to be right around the time that traitorous Project Runway airs on Lifetime!

Can’t wait!  Me loves the Bravo.

I want to take a moment to respond to your multiple comments, all of which I loved and appreciated.  I had to stop watching I’m a Celebrity… because of Speidi.  They frightened me.  Either they are really good actors or Spencer is truly the worst human being on Earth.  If that is what he looks like trying to be a “good Christian” like Heidi says, then I’m terrified to see what he looks like when he’s trying to behave badly.  And the comment about how she “cannot not have sex with him for that long”?  Vomit in my mouth is not even strong enough of a statement.

This Reunion Better Top the Finale May 12, 2009

The season finale was lame-o, and the reunion lasted a record 7 hours in the studio.  Or was it filmed at Cipriani?  I don’t know where this filmed, or why it would happen at a famed Manhattan restaurant, but whatev.  The Countess addressed her breakup via email — P.S. OUCH, Jill announced she had a breast reduction, and Bethenny lied about having a boob lift vs. a boob job (helloooo, we’re not fucking retarded, I could see that implant plain as day through a very thin layer of skin and barely covered by a triangle of stretchy bikini fabric).  That was within the first 5 minutes — this is going to ROCK!

It’s Very Declasse on the Upper East Side May 5, 2009

“Just tell me where the social register is, Ramona.  Just tell me.”  That’s how the RHNYC finale began.  And when Alex informed them that she has not even invited a single person, the ladies were all up in arms.  So much so that Ramona called her a limp noodle.  Yeah…I could see that.  She does look rather like a noodle.

That one woman whom I prefer to disregard is on the floor of the NASDAQ.  Interestingly enough, I read an interview with Jill where she talked about the divorce of the de Lesseps.  It seems that when Ramona and Luann had their altercation earlier in the season over the patriarch of the Count clan, the marriage was already kaput.  Naughty naughty Luann.  Jill has a laugh riot conversation with her daughter about sex and drugs.  She even asked Allyson, who mind you is 15 years old, if she knew what sex was!  Shouldn’t they have had that talk at least 5 years earlier?

Quick Review Before I Bust Out of Town April 28, 2009

I had several shows I neglected to post about in the past 24 hours, but here’s some important moments from them.  Just don’t expect anything more from me this week.  I’ll be back in all my blogging glory on Sunday but who knows how fast I can work.

On DWTS, Melissa sat out due to a rib injury and was judged based on an earlier taped rehearsal.  Her score was the lowest of the night: 21.  She was in the bottom 2 on results night, but she stuck around.  Wondering who did go home?  Sad to say it was Chuck.  He’s cute and all but Ty is more darling so I couldn’t be more thrilled that he made it.  And damn — he looks pretty good without a shirt on and with a spray tan!  The group dances were interesting to watch, but I wasn’t all that excited about them.  Although the men spoofing the Justin Timberlake skit on SNL was pretty great.  Next week I believe they have 2 dances each.
